Cover

I mentioned in the Excited blog a couple of days ago that I was thinking of adding a subtitle to the cover of The Collective Us. I wanted reincarnation included, as that would alert readers to the content of my book. I came up with heaps of variations using that word and even submitted one to the woman who is designing the cover: Journey to Wholeness through Reincarnation. I have been mulling over this since I sent it, but this morning woke up with clarity that these were not the words I wanted added; in fact, I didn’t want the word reincarnation at all. Somehow, reincarnation was jabbing at me, like a thorn. Even though my book is about my multiple reincarnations, I don’t actually use that word once in the book and I don’t think I mentioned it in my last one either. Instead, I refer to my previous incarnations as my past lives or former lifetimes.

The words that so gently eased themselves into my subconscious this morning were: Healing Through Lifetimes. Now, instead of that jabbing sensation, I feel a peace and I see a picture of a beautiful pink rose, reassuring me that these are the words to accompany my title.

I am looking forward to the concept the designer comes up with. After having already made one change, I have probably been lumped into the category of `oh no not one of those people’. However, the words have to sit right with me. Now they do.

I have been told the journey through the printing process takes about two months, so at this stage we are looking at end of August for the book to be available for sale.

Another wait, but now the end is definitely in sight.
