American presidential debate

I watched the American presidential debate live on TV on Friday, along with many millions throughout the world.

Before I go further, I will just point out that I know nothing about what each of the parties stand for or their policies. What I do know though, is the side these two presidential candidates present to the world. I am not even going to name them, instead, I will refer to them as Blue and Red Tie.

I absolutely loathed Red Tie when he was in office last time. When he started the debate, I was presently surprised. He seemed more reasonable. However, within a few minutes, all the reasons I had loathed him in the first place, came back to mind. He was confidently spouting off all the things he had achieved in his time in office, how he had done this that and everything else. He also took a few low blows, including telling Blue Tie how the military didn’t like him, whereas they loved him. Commentary later, said a lot of what Red Tie had said was untrue. In other words, he told lots of lies. I know I have read about his golf exploits before, and yes, that came up, with Red Tie bragging about how he had recently won a golf tournament. They say he moves balls, doesn’t count all his shots and down right cheats. Who would want to play with someone like that, especially if you were the rightful winner? But golf aside, if I was living in America, I certainly wouldn’t want someone in charge who had zero integrity and lied a lot of the time. In fairness to him, I think he actually does believe the lies he tells. But that actually makes him worse.

Now for Blue Tie. I had watched him in the past on several U Tube clips and seen how he often fumbled his answers, appearing to not be fully cognizant. I worried that he would not be up for a debate, and this was proved largely correct, though I must admit he did fare better than I had thought he would. However, since that debate there have been many calls to replace him. He is confident he can handle a further three years, but many people in his party are now not.

My question: If I have seen clips before of his stumbling, why are Americans seemingly only realizing this aspect now? There is not a lot of time to fix this party problem.

But in his favour, I think Blue Tie is a far better person, in terms of integrity. I would trust him far more than Red Tie.

But both of these men are the front for America. In my eyes, neither present a very reassuring picture to the rest of the world. Red Tie stated something along the lines that the world had no respect for Blue Tie. From my angle, the world has even less respect for Red Tie.

My best scenario would be that Blue Tie gets replaced with a candidate good enough to give Red Tie a run for his money. Or even better still, Red Tie was also replaced before the election even occurred. Heaven help America and the rest of the world if Red Tie won the next election.  As I said earlier, I don’t know these two parties’ policies, I am only going on the men fronting the parties and having to watch news coverage for a further three years with Red Tie fronting, would drive me crazy. Whilst in office last time, he complained that no president in history had been given as hard a time by the media as what he had endured. Media aren’t there to be puppets. They need to make sure what they are putting out is factual. There’s a simple way to fix that problem, tell the truth and stop embellishing every statement.
